3. Learn to eat with all 5 of your senses. This makes you more mindful of your food and naturally slows you down and gives you a feeling of being satisfied with less food. It is easy to do: the next time you have food in front of you actually look at the food and notice any distinguishing characteristics, also note if the food has an aroma, then put a bite in your mouth and listen for any noise as you bite into it an pay attention to how it feels as it moves around inside your mouth and finally focus on how it tastes.
